Spike's Woofer Wiring Class

Pick your woofer type, quantity, and impedance. Spike will show you the correct wiring diagram below!

STEP 1: Woofer Type

STEP 2: Number of Woofers

STEP 3: Woofer Impedance

*Mixing woofers with different impedance levels is neither recommended nor supported.

Positive = Red Post | Negative = Black Post

Important Note About Amplifier Wiring

If you’re connecting your woofers to a mono block amplifier, the load results shown here will be accurate.

However, if you’re using a multi-channel amplifier and plan to bridge multiple channels together, the load shown will actually be cut in half. For example, let’s say you enter the type, number, and impedance of your woofers, and the result shows a 2-ohm load. If you bridge that setup on a multi-channel amplifier, the amp will actually “see” a 1-ohm load—because each channel is only handling half the signal.

Be sure to double-check your amplifier’s capabilities to make sure it can safely handle the lower load when bridged.
