Can my multi channel line converter take a single stereo input and distribute it to all outputs?

Yes. Although our multi-ch line converters will not route audio this way straight out of the box, you can get them to do it with a few minor setting adjustments.

First, you need to use the channel 2(rear) input of the converter. NOT the main input.

The channel 2 input has the Automode function that enables the converter to send the channel 2 input to the channel 3 output. So Automode must be engaged for this to work.  Automode is engaged from the factory, so if you purchased the unit new, it should already be enabled.

From there, you will also need to enable summing for channel 2.  You do this by moving the summing jumper from separate to summed for channel 2.

Since you are only using the channel 2 input, you will need to run a “remote in” wire to trigger the converter on. Since we are not using the main channel input, signal sense can not be used. So, you will also need to disengage the GTO signal sense feature but moving the GTO jumper to “defeat”.

***SPECIAL NOTE*** There is no GTO jumper on the LC6i, so no need to worry about it if you have an LC6i.
